Hi, I'm Katie a PhD student at the University of Bristol. I came across you through the UKUH Insights Discussion earlier this month. My PhD is looking at the impacts of subsurface energy technologies such as fracking and geothermal on subsurface microbiology. I'm currently taking a break from the PhD due to breaking my ankle in September, but plan on getting back to it in January!

Hi, I'm Chris Blake. Along with Innes, Jon, Alison, Neil & Nigel, I helped found SHIFT Geothermal. There's an incredible amount of knowledge within the team here - and indeed in the library section of this site (for associate researchers and partners). We're running SHIFT as a non profit, and hoping to promote and steer R&D into Geothermal at an institution and government level within the UK. If you're like us and think the geothermal potential of the UK has been overlooked - you've come to the right place! Please get in touch, introduce yourself and join the discussion. If you're still not convinced, I've attached a document that may change your mind!

Hi, I'm Innes Auchterlonie, one of the founders of SHIFT. We're hoping the website and forum helps us all explore the potential for clean geo-energy solutions. If you could post a little bit about yourself in this section that would be a great first step in helping grow this community. Welcome to SHIFT!
